Simply but lovingly restored eighteenth century farm, sleeping from 2 to 3 guests in five apartments, with oval swimming pool
This wonderful location just 7km from the popular town of Ostuni and 15 minutes drive from Adriatic beaches, is set in 30 hectares of woodland, making it a superb place to relax and absorb the wonderful atmosphere of Puglia. Guests can also take advantage of the grand and luxurious restaurant run by the owners within walking distance of the apartments in the original manor house of the farm. On offer are wonderful local wines and authentic Pugliese cuisine, much of it reared on the farm and with a constantly evolving menu often including partridge, pheasant, wild duck and hare. The farm is set in the Valle D'Itria. Nearby is the white city of Ostuni, famed for it's stunning ancient town centre which overlooks the Adriatic Sea and which takes its name from the dominant white architecture typical of the area and especially strong here. Also dazzlingly white is the pretty hilltop town of Cisternino, 5km from Masseria Cantone and founded in the seventh century by monks from Basilea. It is blessed with many trulli, the traditional conicle-rooved round buildings indigenous to the area and it is also home to many festivals in the summer months.
